About red+PensyL
red+PensyL is a design studio/workshop that draws inspiration from the concept: Contemporary Artifacts.
Contemporary Artifacts is a museum aesthetic approach to design. Just as artwork becomes recontextualized in a gallery space, digital space (in particular social media) has recontextualized physical space. red+PensyL’s designs strive for an awareness of physical space becoming gallery space: an unfolding space for artifacts to navigate this unique context.
red+PensyL primarily explores this concept through an ancient form of human transportation technology, water-crafts. They are artifacts for humans to navigate through water, tectonically unfolding for its passenger. In addition to providing safe passage for humans, water-crafts act as a metaphorical plinth for humans in a dynamic place, giving humans dignity in a displaced context.
Pieces designed by red+PensyL are hand made and made for custom orders. Please see contact information below for inquiries, sales, and/or consultations. I appreciate your time and hope you enjoy viewing my work.
